After a couple of weeks since my book launch, and a week after a Joe Dispenza Progressive Retreat, I've taken some time to integrate everything and put it all together. I wanted to include the best insights from the launch, but the day after it happened I went to Dr. Joe's retreat, which gave me so many more insights that I needed time to integrate, understand, and feel.
So finally, I've made the time for this!
Let's go into my book launch first, and next week I'll tell you more about the meditation retreat.
How was the book launch?
I'm beyond happy with how everything went. Around 20 people came, which made the event feel cosy, private, and intimate. My main goal with the launch was to connect with people and understand how my book and workbook were perceived by people who didn't know me and were hearing about my work for the first time.
The event was a success.
I was very happy to see some of my dearest friends who came to support me without me even asking. That was actually another intention of mine. I wanted people to come only if they were genuinely interested in the topic, so I avoided asking friends to attend just to support me.
That's what I wanted to test. Who would show up?
And most importantly... what moved the people I didn't know? What resonated with them?
I was touched to meet new people who found value in what I do and in the topic itself. Some of them were also interested in the workbook and got excited about the activities we did together. The event was interactive, and we exchanged experiences. I did my best to create activities that encouraged people to participate while having fun, because I don't enjoy simply standing there talking with all the attention on me.
I wanted it to be about them, more than just about me. And for a first event, it worked really well.
The moment that surprised me the most
One of the things I loved the most—and that honestly surprised me—was seeing people share their personal stories and become emotional during the activities. Even some of my own friends.
I didn't expect that.
And I found it to be the most beautiful and motivating part of the evening. It touched my heart and made me feel happy and fulfilled because that was exactly the purpose of the event.
Much more than a book. Much more than a workbook. Much more than my story.
Something else clicked
After the book launch, I've felt motivated to do so many more things.
Coaching. Workshops. Talks.
I loved working with people around these topics, and somehow it reminded me of my mom when I was little. She used to work with victims of the violence caused by the civil war in Colombia. She's someone I admire so much, and I was always fascinated by the work she did and the stories she'd tell. I love her deeply. And even though I always admired that work, I never realised I wanted to do something similar myself.
Until recently.
Maybe only a couple of years ago. The difference is that I want to work with "regular" people like me—people going through major life transitions, something that eventually happens to all of us.
I want to do it because it happened to me. And I genuinely believe life could be much lighter when we learn how to navigate those transitions better and allow ourselves to receive support. Even for people who think they don't need help. Who think they're fine. Or that therapy alone is enough.
In many cases, that might be true. But in how many other cases are people simply used to surviving? stuck in the same loop? Keeping themselves busy all the time so they never have to sit with loneliness, scarcity, or difficult emotions?
What about those cases?
What's coming next?
So with this book launch, another "to do" was born. Besides the webinar, I've decided to organise my first REBUILD Workshop – Managing Fear & Anxiety. I've had this idea in my mind for a long time, and I'm going to run the first one in November in Düsseldorf.
For those who can't join in person, I'm also considering turning it into a small online workshop—a mini-course with a few easy-to-follow sections that people can complete at their own pace.
Honestly... What better way is there to give you a glimpse of the workbook and the work I want to do?
As I mentioned during the launch, the most difficult step of my framework is the first one—Stabilize & Awareness.
But my favourite step is #5: Managing Fear & Anxiety.
I absolutely love this topic. I love working on it myself. And I'd love to work on it with other people too. That moment when fear or anxiety shows up again... But this time, it's no longer a problem. You know what to do. You know how to regulate yourself. Your nervous system starts calming down because it learns it can trust you, trust what you've learned, and trust the way you keep showing up for yourself.
Isn't that beautiful?
So that's how my book launch went—and where this journey is leading me next.
You're welcome to be part of it...
Or not.
Whatever you decide...
THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE SO FAR. ❤️
